Make sure we defend democracy in Worcestershire

You have probably heard about the County Council election in the Littletons, Worcestershire earlier this year, where the Reform UK candidate and Hannah Robson got exactly the same amount of votes. After several recounts they still couldn’t separate us, so in line with the rules, the election was decided by drawing a ballot paper out of a ballot box.

Thankfully, mine was drawn out and I won. However, The Reform UK candidate is really not happy about this, and has alleged fraudulent and biased behaviour in relation to the process at the election count, and our campaign in general.

The outcome is that she’s taking me, and Wychavon District Council, to court to try to overturn the result.

The process, and our campaign, were conducted in a clear and fair way and I’ve certainly done nothing wrong. I am having accusations made against me over a case of sour grapes and the Reform UK candidate is trying to discredit me, which has been really stressful.

We will be going to High Court on 17 October 2025, so we need to raise legal fees to defend myself properly. The Green Party have instructed solicitors and a barrister to represent me as the Green Party candidate, Legal advice is expensive and we’d really appreciate your help in making sure we stand up to this malicious behavior.

Thank you so much for anything you’re able to give.
£2,162.00 of £12,000.00

In the event that there is any money left over after the legal matters have been settled, including if we are able to recover some or all of our legal costs from other parties, then these remaining funds will be used to support future Green Party campaigning activities in Worcestershire and elsewhere. There’s a by-election in a third of my county division and we need to stop Reform UK from winning that too.

We’re required to run electoral register checks from people making donations above £500, and if you donate over £11,180 during a year, we are required to let the Electoral Commission know, who will make this available on their website.
